Why we built Met Before

We have all been there. You run into someone at a conference, a dinner party, or a community event. They clearly remember you, but you cannot for the life of you recall their name, let alone where you first met.

Met Before was born out of that exact frustration. We wanted a simple, private tool to capture the people we meet — with just enough context to jog our memory later. A photo, a name, a quick note about where we met and what we talked about.

Traditional contact apps store phone numbers and email addresses, but they miss the most important part: the story. Who is this person? Where did you cross paths? What made the conversation memorable? Met Before fills that gap.
